Her love and compassion for those around her will be forever missed by many. She was born in Wewoka, OK on March 7, 1931 to Charles and Elizabeth “Bess” Keith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Charlotte Keaton, and her son Keith Gaar.

Rowena loved and was loved by many people in life, her family, her friends, and everyone she kept up with through social media. She had a passion for Jesus and for education. She dedicated 39 years of her life to teaching. She thoroughly enjoyed her Bible study group, the “Keen-agers,” and attending church every Sunday that she could.

Family and friends will celebrate her life on April 2, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the “Back to the Bible” organization.
