Mikell Green Sr.

Mikell Warren Green Sr. 59 of Lyons, Texas passed away suddenly Monday, August 29, 2022, in College Station, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, September 3, 2022 @ Lyons Evangelical Church in Lyons @ 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Andrew Keuer officiating The Family will receive visitors from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Church. The Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, Texas.

Mikell was born January 29, 1963 in Big Springs, Texas to parents Floyd Green and Julie Mae (Shifflett) Green. Mr. Green worked for many years in the Trucking & Transportation Industry.

He enjoyed fishing, watching old movies and spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. He was known as a great handyman, friend, mentor, son, brother, daddy, poppy & fiancé and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mikell was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Raymond Green, a brother, Raymond Eugene Green, son-in-law, Christopher Leon Price, grandparents Allie Mae & William Thomas Shifflett and other relatives.

Mr. Green is survived by his loving family, his mother, Julie Mae Green,  a daughter, Misty Price both of Lyons, TX., three sons, Mikell Green Jr., Jacob Green both of Snook, TX., and Ryan Hawkins of Bryan, TX., 2 sisters, Tammy Schulz and husband Wilburn, and Michelle Rodriquez and husband Joseph both of Lyons, TX., also survived by his fiancé Nancy Hawkins of Bryan, Tx., and 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Kiley Price of Lyons, Tx., also by the mother of his children, Nancy Green of Snook, TX., and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and by a great-great niece.

Serving as pallbearers are, Mikell Green Jr., Brett Knesek, Brad Horsley, Patrick David, B.J. Nunn, Raymond Schulz and Joseph Rodriquez.
