A mass of Christian burial for Juan Martinez 73 of Caldwell will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Friday February 26, 2021 with Father Melvin Dornak officiating.
Mr. Martinez died peacefully on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Juan was born on March 27, 1947 in Chriesman, Texas to Francisco Martinez and Micaela Martinez of Chriesman.
Juan was the youngest of ten siblings. He was a family man and always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed tending to his cattle and maintaining his hay field. He worked 17 years for precinct 3 of Burleson county and retired in 2014. Juan could never sit still and always had to be doing something. So, if you didn’t find him in the field, he’d be in his garage maintaining his tractor or working on somebody’s car. He was a Jack of all trades. If you knew him, you could not forget him. There was never a dull moment with him or a frown on his face. Most importantly he was the Uncle to so many nieces and nephews. He loved each and everyone of them and they knew they could always stop by just to have a quick chat, hear some old stories or learn something new.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Martinez and Micaela Martinez, two brothers, Facundo and Valentin Martinez. Three sisters Tomasa Martinez, Lupe Luna, and Romana Aguilar. He is survived by two brothers Jose Martinez and Ray Martinez. Two sisters Herminia Martinez, and Angela Silva, his brother in-law Ruben Silva. Honorary Pallbearers, Joseph Silva, Tomas Garza Jr., Moses Luna, Ramiro Martinez, Mario Aguilar, Aldofo Martinez.
Final resting place St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
