Jett Richard Shryock

June 1, 2013 ~ December 30, 2020 (age 7)

Anyone who met Jett Richard Shryock would soon have a smile and was blessed. Our sweet boy would be the first one to do anything to make you smile. He wanted to take away your sadness. In seven and a half (yes, the half was important to him) short years, he lived life to its fullest and would not want you to live any other way. We are blessed to have been touched by his thirst for truly living, appreciating, and enjoying each and every day. Whether it was learning to snowboard, working on the Jeep, coming up with new soccer moves, reciting multiplication problems, being a director for his sister’s videos, sneaking some sugar somewhere that he usually did not get to have, cheering on his Aggies, serving as the ‘Mayor’ of his lakeside community, or just playing at game night, he was always there and enjoying it. The light of our life went to be with his heavenly father on December 30. Enjoy some fireworks or a beautiful sunrise for him. Most importantly, when your favorite tune comes on, crank it up. We always had to. (His favorite was anything by ETC!)

He is survived by his parents, Jason and Kristi Shryock, and his best friend/idol/sister, Eastyn Shryock or E as you could always hear him call her, of College Station.  He is also survived by his grandparents, George and Sue Shryock of Snook, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, Oma, and Opa, (some who were blood relatives but so many more who just fiercely loved him). He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Shryock of Snook, and his aunt, Darla Schulz of Friendswood, both of whom have probably had zero rest since he got to Heaven with them! After a private graveside service, we look forward to celebrating his zest for life near his birthday in June.
