Elaine Frances (See) Ginzel, 79, went to be with the Lord with her family at her side on February 3, 2021.  Elaine was born on June 8, 1941 to parents, Ervin See Sr. and Vlasta (Kulhanek) See in Snook, TX.  Elaine loved sports and excelled as a high school basketball player. She was class officer and valedictorian of her class while attending Snook High School where she graduated in 1959. On February 7, 1960 she married Weldon Ginzel at Faith United Church of Christ in Bryan, TX.  They were married nearly 61 years.

She was an avid gardener, both flower and vegetable gardening. She was an excellent cook and had a sharp mind with a unique ability to recall details from years past. She was a caretaker for her family, always putting the needs of others before herself.  She had a classic and effortless style, a sense of beauty and grace that was reflected in her lifestyle, her clothes, and her home.

Elaine was an active member of the church, serving on the church council and frequently volunteering her time. As a military wife for 27 years, she lived in multiple states throughout the country. She particularly enjoyed her time in Virginia, learning about the nation’s history and visiting historical sites.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Weldon Ginzel; son and daughter-in-law, James Ginzel and Cheryl of Cypress, TX; Mike Ginzel and wife Debbie of Houston, TX; brothers and sister-in-law’s, Ervin and Diana See; Frank and Maggie See; and James See all of Snook, TX;  sisters and brothers-in-law, LaVal and Bobby Siegert of Bryan, TX; Sara and James Thompson of Victoria, TX; Marilyn and Larry Zschech of Caldwell, TX;  grandchildren, Emma Elaine Ginzel of Cypress, TX; Sarah Beth Bench of Tomball, TX; Reid Michael Ginzel and wife Leslie of Cypress, TX;  great-grandchildren, Noah and Cooper Bench of Tomball, TX; Olivia Ginzel and Elijah Ginzel of Cypress, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Serving as Pall Bearers are: Mark Fuller, Reid Ginzel, Nathan See, Stephen See, Travis See, Joey Withem and Jonathan Zschech.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Strickland Funeral Home, Caldwell Texas with Pastor Darrin Holub officiating the service.  A private graveside service for the family will follow at New Tabor Cemetery.  Viewing will be on Monday, February 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank MD Anderson and Methodist Hospital for the comfort and care she received.
