Caroline Matcek

Funeral services for Caroline Frances Matcek, 91, of Caldwell are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Bro. Joseph Polasek officiating.  Interment will follow at New Tabor Cemetery near Caldwell.  Mrs. Matcek passed away November 25, 2020 in Bryan, Texas.

Caroline was born July 30, 1929 to Charles Matcek and Frances (Novak) Matcek in Caldwell, Texas.

Caroline enjoyed Bingo, raising Hereford cattle, chickens and turkeys, and gardening.  She was a hard worker who loved to read, do Arts & Crafts, make jewelry, crochet and embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joe C. Matcek and his wife, Lillian Matcek.

Caroline is survived by her sister, Elsie Matcek of Caldwell and numerous cousins and family friends.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Matcek, Mike Matcek, Daniel Matcek, Leroy Kazmir, and Arnold Matcek.  Frank Surovik and Jerry Don Matcekwill act as Honorary Pallbearer.
