Anna Maria (Schurer) Dilling, 94, of Snook, Texas passed peacefully on November 8, 2020, with her family by her side.

She was born May 5, 1926 in Tubingen, Germany to Friedrich Schurer and Marie Sixt Schurer.  Anna was a strong and independent woman who loved her German ways.  She was known for not sugar-coating things and had a knack for telling it like it is.   Anna lived in Kansas City, Missouri where she obtained her U.S. Citizenship before moving to Snook, Texas.

Anna was passionate about her sewing and was a seamstress with many talents.  She loved to clean, draw and cook German food for her family, especially the grandkids.  You would always find the television on the news channel, she loved world events.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harvey Ulysses Simpson and second husband, Darrell James Dilling; sisters, Marta Bolz and Emilie Hersche; son-in-law, Daniel Lee Jozwiak; and great grandson, Anthony Walter Scott.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen Missy Vajdak and Donna Maria Jozwiak; two granddaughters, Charity Renee Vajdak and Jennifer Lynn Jozwiak; and five great-grandchildren, Cayla Renee McCord, Skylar Dionne McCord, Marcus Lee Scott, Logan Lorene Brewer and Jaden Wayne Brewer; great-great-grandchild, Chloe Joy Conerway.

She was loved by many and will be missed by family and friends.  A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date.
