William Manas, Jr. was born July 24, 1952 in Cameron to William J. Sr. and Ella M. (Wroebleski) Manas. Baptized on August 24, 1952, he was raised in Caldwell, graduated from Caldwell High School, and was a member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, where he served as an altar boy.

William proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for the City of Brenham as a machine operator for nearly 26 years. He married Treas Lynette Manas on March 15, 1990, and was a proud father of three children: Ella Marie, "JoJo", and Anitra (Tootie).

Willie Joe loved the outdoors, and was considered one of the best BBQ cooks in Burleson County. He took pride in everything he did, whether it was being a husband, father, worker, provider, or friend. A firm believer in God, he believed in treating others the way he wanted to be treated. His family will always love Willie Joe, and will miss him dearly. We know "Big Willie" will be looking down and watching over us.
