Ronald Simons

Ronald Dean “Deanie” Simons, 63, of Santa Fe, Texas went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home in Santa Fe.

He was born on February 8, 1955 to Thurston Roby Simons and Cora Lee (Watson) Simons in Bay City, Texas.

Deanie, as most everyone knew him, was a kind-hearted man that always had a smile on his face. Some of his favorite times were at the family reunions held at Lake Somerville every year. He loved playing horse shoes with all his brothers and cousins. Deanie was a windshield repair man for 40+ years and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He coached his kids in football, baseball, softball, and basketball and loved to watch his grandkids play softball, t-ball, and football. Uncle Deanie, as his nieces and nephews knew him, was always the life of the party. He had a smile and a laugh that was contagious, and he had a way of making everyone feel like they were his favorite. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jackie Simons; and sister-in-law, Donna Simons.

Deanie is survived by son Ronald Dean Simons, Jr. & partner Brandon LeBlanc Simons of Covington, Louisiana, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Allen Simons & Brandy Rendon Simons of Santa Fe, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cora Roshelle Simons Jackson and Mark Jackson of Santa Fe, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, James & Mary Proctor of Belton, Roger & Caroline Simons of Somerville, Roby & Kathy Simons of Pearland, Gene & Arlene Simons of Colbert, Oklahoma, Donnie Simons of Somerville; grandchildren, Leah MacKenzie Simons, Keaton Allen Simons, Shelby Lyn Jackson, Sadie Ann Jackson, Sammi Rae Jackson, and Katlyn Rendon.
