Pearl Schoppe

Elaine Schoppe, 97, of Lyons went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 5, 2017. Visitation is set for Friday, May 19, 2017 at Strickland Funeral home in Somerville, Texas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral service is set for Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. at The First United Methodist Church in Somerville, TX.

Elaine retired from JC Penny. She attended the Methodist Church in Somerville. She would help anyone in need. Elaine was a loving grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Pillow and Lydia Annie (Russell) Pillow, husband, Gus Schoppe, Jr., sisters, Thelma Schoenberg Lyons, Mavis Maxine (Pillow) Ganske, brother, James Pillow and grandson, Jeffrey Schoppe.

Survivors include her son, James K. Schoppe and wife Sherry; sister, Louise Rust; grandchildren, James C. Schoppe, Jessica White, great-grandchildren, Jason Schoppe, Tara Schoppe and two great-great-grandchilden.

Pallbearers are James C. Schoppe, Jason Schoppe, Dane Williams, Tommy Dyer, Bubba Scott and Eric Hertenberger.
