Maudie was born and lived in Burleson County all of her life with several moves to Houston for short periods of time. Maudie''s most treasured roles in life were as a mother, grandmother and caregiver. Her generosity and unselfishness touched everyone who knew her, and she made everyone else''s life richer. As a mother she was a true inspiration. She was always an advocate for anyone that was hurting or having problems, never putting herself first. She enjoyed traveling with her family members and was always ready to go on a "trip". Other than travel, she loved playing forty-two and Skip-bo. Maudie worked many years at the SISD and loved interacting with all of the students. She was dedicated to the service of others above herself, with a great magnanimous heart. She along with her husband kept children from the community in their home for many years. She loved and enjoyed these children and has enjoyed watching them become adults and returning for visits.

Maudie loved her Lord and Savior and Lone Oak Baptist Church which she has served for seventy plus years. She was a faithful servant for her Lord and leaves loved ones with a tremendous heritage of knowing the love of an earthly mother and a heavenly father. Her departure leaves an incredible void in the lives of her loved ones, but she is now receiving her reward in heaven. Her faith and loyalty to those she loved will always be an inspiration to those left behind.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Ronald, Michael, Troy, Mark, Timothy, Todd, John, and David. Chandra, Melissa, and Tammy will act as honorary pallbearers.

We want to thank all family and friends for their love, support and prayers during her illness. A special thanks to the hospice helpers. Memorials may be made to Lone Oak Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
