Mattie Schrader

Mattie Lorene Schrader, 93, of Lyons passed on Wednesday, October 25. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 8 am - 8pm at Strickland Funeral Home, with family present from 5pm – 7pm. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, Saturday, October 28 at 11 am.

Mattie Schrader, known to her friends as Lorene, loved spending time with family and friends especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook. Lorene spent many hours watching her cows and gardening. She was a beautiful soul that will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Svec and husband Jimmy; granddaughters, Nicole Filger and husband Adam, Amanda Kemper and husband Nick, Meagan Svec and fiance Dalton Anders; great-grandchildren, Blakely Kemper, Hayden Kemper, Addison Filger and Connor Anders.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Schrader; parents, Jerry and Mattie Jones; six half-brothers, six half-sisters.
