Maria Jimenez

A Mass of Christian Burial for Maria Jimenez, 58, of Chriesman, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Jimenez passed away on February 2, 2018 in Webster, Texas.

Maria was born October 19, 1959 to Geronimo Jimenez and Epifania (Castillo) Jimenez in Chriesman, Texas.

Maria was member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an amazing sister, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger and was the sweetest soul you would ever meet. She loved her dolls, playing cards and her cartoons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; brothers, Raymond and Martin Jimenez; three sisters, Bartola, Lupita, and Nemesia Jimenez; five uncles, Antonio, Jose, Isabel, Isaac, and Lupe Jimenez; and two aunts, Josefina Vega and Regina Chacon.

Maria is survived by her brother, Juan Jimenez of Caldwell; sisters, Dominga Martinez of Caldwell, Jo Harper of LaPorte, Texas; nieces, Mary Hancock, Esther Pritchard, Susie Wellman, Jennifer Burrow, and Jessica Harper; great nieces and nephews, Heather Hancock, Brittany Pritchard, Kasey Pritchard, Bryce Burrow, Peyton Travis, Kennedy Burrow, Hudson Burrow.

Pallbearers will be John Jimenez, Frank Rodriguez, Jr., Johnny Vega, Mark Wellman, David Pritchard, Keith Zvolensky, Phillip Rodriguez, and Jonathan Burrow. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Harper, Frank Rodriguez, Sr., Rudy Rubio, and Mingo Vega.
