Linda Faye Wilhelm Dennis, age 74, of Somerville, passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday, November 5, 2025. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 10, 2 o'clock at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Linda possessed a remarkable talent for creating warmth and togetherness wherever she went. A Texas girl at heart, she embraced the Louisiana way of life after moving there with her devoted husband, Macy. She quickly fell in love with its food, music, culture and was an exceptional cook, especially known for her Cajun dishes. Linda took great pride in sewing, needlepoint, and crafting pieces that reflected her creativity and care. Linda and Macy shared a special joy in dancing and a love for Zydeco music, both often filling a room with their laughter and effortless charm. She also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bunco, always ready for a little friendly competition and a lot of fun. Linda loved opening her home to family and friends, where good food, lively conversation, and a welcoming spirit were always guaranteed. Her gracious hospitality, joyful energy, and ability to make every gathering feel special will be fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Linda is preceded in death by her father Helmo Wilhelm, mother Leona Schoppe Wilhelm; husband, Macy Dennis, and cousin Clinton Wilhelm.

The Wilhelm & Eschete family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate, loving nurses and patient care techs on the St. Joseph Bryan Oncology Unit.
