Lennis Joseph Cormier passed away the morning of February 8, 2026. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Services will be held at 10am on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas with a celebration of life followed at 2305 State Hwy 21 W Caldwell, Tx 77836.
Lennis was born on April 22, 1936, in Lafayette Parish in Louisiana. He was a devoted father and husband. He worked as a crane operator all his life and upon his retirement he and his wife Mary traveled to all the states in their RV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Mary Cormier. He is survived by his sons David Cormier and his wife Maria, Lennis Cormier Jr. and his wife Tammie, and his daughter Priscilla Hunter. His grandchildren David Cormier Jr. and his wife Brittany, Shane Cormier, Kevin Cormier, Destany Wilson, David Evan Cormier, Tommy LaCarbo, Lindsey Mayfield, Natasha McGuire, Jessica Wiggins, Tiffany Davis, Robert Hunter, Casey Cormier and Devin Cormier.
He is also survived by his great grandchildren. Berkleigh Cormier, Brogan Cormier, Payton Cormier, Landen Cormier, Braxton Wilson, Kylan Wilson, Blake Harris, Araceli Cormier, Addison Cormier, Elena Cormier, Cloi Cormier, Xavian and Breanna Lacarbo, Valerie and Cheyenne Mayfield, Ethan, James and Abigail Wiggins, and Lilly and Neagen Davis.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Dorathy.
Rest in peace Lennis, your work on Earth is done.
