Karen Teal, 66, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 4th, 2023, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She was born Karen Beckmann on December 25th, 1956, in Bellville, Texas. Karen's journey on this earth was filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and her career.

She married Marshall Teal, with whom she shared a profound bond, on September 20, 2008. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and happiness. They enjoyed going camping, planting gardens together, and finding solace in nature's embrace.

Karen had a deep love for her family. Her proudest accomplishments centered around her son Bradley. They shared an incredibly special bond through their shared passion for showing cattle. From the very beginning of Bradley's journey into this world, Karen was his steadfast guide and cheerleader. Her heart swelled with joy during these moments shared with Bradley.

Additionally, Karen found immeasurable happiness during her son's wedding and the birth of her twin grandchildren, Brody, and Mabry Prihoda. The arrival of these precious little ones brought immense joy to Karen's life as she doted on them with unconditional love. Family meant everything to Karen. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those she touched. She had a kind heart that brought comfort to all who knew her.

Karen dedicated 31 years of her life to the Texas A&M Soil and Crop Science Department. From the Rio Grande Valley to the High Plains, she tirelessly pursued her passion for agriculture and made countless contributions to the field. Her commitment and expertise were truly admirable.

She will be deeply missed but her memories will forever remain etched in our hearts.
