JoAnn Koehler

JoAnn Koehler, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brenham, Texas.

JoAnn was born February 24, 1948, to Alfred (Pete) and Ida Lee (Albright) Koehler.  JoAnn attended school in Houston and graduated from Aldine High School in 1966. After high school Joann began a very long-lasting career working at various oil companies then finally retired in 2016. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas and moved to Austin, Texas in 2004.  She had one child, Jonathan Bonkoske, who lives in Bellville, Texas. She lived with John after retirement until she moved to the Nursing Home in Brenham.

JoAnn was a very loving Mother and a kind soul to anyone she met. Every person she encountered became a friend and always helped those in need.

Joann is survived by her son, Jonathan Bonkoske. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Ida Lee Koehler and her sister Patty Hines.
