Jacqueline Marie Beck, Jackie, 72 of Somerville, Texas passed away on July 30, 2026. Jackie was born February 10, 1954 in Odessa, Texas to Melvin and Cynthia Reaves. Jackie was an active member of the Birch Creek Area Volunteer Fire Department, where she was the first female member and served for over 10 years. She was an active member of the Burleson County Cowboy Church, where she served on the Chuck Wagon Committee and served others in any way possible. She met many friends along the way, many that became family. When Jackie fell ill and was unable to attend church every Sunday she started a ladies bible study in her home on Wednesday mornings. This bible study group will continue in her memory. She married the love of her life Merle and they just celebrated 28 years on July 4th. They enjoyed their time park hosting, camping and volunteering with the fire department together.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Cynthia Reaves; brother, Dennis Reaves and daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Cochran.
To cherish Jackie's memories are her husband, Merle Beck; sons & daughter-in-laws, Jimmy & Crystal Justice, Robby & Tami Justice; son-in-law, Patrick Cochran; stepchildren, Chris & Christi Beck, Crystal & Matt Lutz, Alicia & Kris Martinez; grandchildren, Trisha Cochran, Melanie Cooper, Darah Peters, Nicholas Cochran, Trystan Justice, Cayden Justice, Jayda Justice, Rylee Justice along with numerous stepgranchildren and many great-granchildren. Her Siblings Woody & Rose Reaves, Sharon "Bobbie" Broadbent; big sister, Sonia Lummus.
We would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Accent Care especially nurse Jazz.
