Glyndon Anderson

July 20, 1932 — December 22, 2019

Glyndon Anderson, 87, of Brenham went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 22.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 27, 11 am at the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Glyndon was born September 20, 1932 to Deryl C. McElreath and Mary Imagene Hunt. She married James Marcus Anderson on December 10, 1953. The couple welcomed two daughters and a son. Glyndon taught Sunday school for second graders for 26 years, then adult women’s bible study for numerous years. She was very active in the Republican women’s organization. She also volunteered at Abilene State quite a few years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marcus Anderson; daughter, Mauri Blankenship and grandson, Andy Blankenship.

Survivors include son, Chad Anderson and wife Cyndi of Burleson; son-in-law, Nick Blankenship of Cooks Point; daughter, Conny Vara and husband Joe of Chappell Hill; brother, Mike McElreath and wife Diane of Abilene; sister, Lisa Lynn Harper of Irving; grandchildren, Hayley Dionne and husband Justin, Chelsea Burkeen, Shanna Holloway and Husband Mark, Abigail Anderson, Adam Blankenship and wife Chelsie; great-grandchildren, Zane Mouser, Kinsley Burkeen, Rachel Holloway, Clara Holloway, Megan Garza, Cullen Garza, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Zane Mouser, Justin Dionne, Joe Vara, Mark Holloway, Nick Blankenship and Adam Blankenship.
