In Loving Memory of Deborah Elaine Paul

July 5, 1955 – July 2, 2026

"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."

On July 2nd, 2026, Deborah Elaine Paul, of Snook, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 5, 1955, in Bryan, Texas, to Richard Kovar and Georgia Kovar. A lifelong resident of the Snook community, Deborah was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and deep love for her family.

Deborah devoted her career to serving others. She proudly worked at Texas A&M University's GERG for 31 years before continuing her career with TDI-Brooks International, where she remained until her retirement in 2019. She was admired for her dedication, dependability, and the friendships she built throughout her years of service.

Outside of work, Deborah found joy in refinishing furniture, tending her plants/flowers, and making a home where family always felt welcome. While she enjoyed many hobbies, nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren.

She rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her granddaughter, Charlotte Marie Paul, from the softball stands and took immense pride in watching her play. She also loved watching Brody Paul compete in football and baseball, celebrating every achievement along the way. Deborah treasured the many afternoons spent with her grandson, Kevin Paul Jr., listening as he enthusiastically shared his coin collection and his fascination with military history and Army equipment. Those quiet conversations were among her most cherished memories.

Deborah was preceded in death by her beloved father, Richard Kovar, her dearly loved son, Kevin Wayne Paul and her kindhearted nephew, Cory Kovar.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her loving mother, Georgia Kovar of Snook; her brothers, Donnie (Kellie) Kovar of Christoval and David (Sharon) Kovar of Snook; her sons, Jeffrey Paul of Caldwell; and Austin (Jessica) Paul of Snook; her Daughter in law, Amber Paul of Rockdale; her nephews, Craig (Brandy) Kovar of Snook and Casey (Melody) Kovar of Lubbock; her niece, Hannah Kovar of Snook; her nephew, Hayden Kovar of Snook and her treasured grandchildren, Kevin

Paul Jr. (Jenni) of Snook, Charlotte Marie Paul of Snook, and Brody Paul of Caldwell. She also leaves behind many extended family members and countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, generosity, and love.

Deborah's legacy is one of compassion, faith, hard work, and unconditional love. She taught those around her the importance of family, perseverance, and finding joy in life's simple moments. Her gentle spirit and caring heart will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
