David Malkey

David Malkey, 59, of Euless went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29. Visitation will be Friday, June 30, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Services will be Saturday, July 1, 3 pm at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

David was a wonderful father, brother and friend who loved to spend time with family and cook for an army of people. When he wasn’t cooking he could be found fishing or working hard at Trinity Industries. David’s absence will be felt by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Edward Malkey and Lynette Leitner Malkey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Benjamin Malkey; brothers, Brant Malkey, Hank Brantley and Katie; sisters, Marcella Malkey, Lisa Beeson along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Bill Diester, Greg Hodges, Eli Latigo, Kevin Smith, Bubba Malkey and Brandon Beeson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Casey Evans, Eric Banda and the employees at Trinity Industries.

The family asks that anyone attending the funeral please dress business casual due to the hot Texas summer.
