Charles Wilson

Charles “Buddy” Wilson, 79, of Lyons went to his heavenly home on Friday, May 12, 2017. A graveside service is set for Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, TX.

Charles, affectionately known as Buddy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved flowers and gardened with a passion. It has been said he could plant a stick in the ground and make it grow. Buddy also loved to travel, even if it was just cruising around his small town.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Louis Wilson and Sallie Flora (Maddox) Wilson, brother, Jr. Wilson, sister, Janelle Klemmer, first wife, Janie Mae Wilson and son Charles W. Wilson, Jr. “Bogie”.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Lou (Pierce) Wilson, daughter, Lisa Wilson, stepsons, Keith Allen Leasure, Kevin “Red” Leasure and wife Dana, stepdaughters, Kathy Ann Labarbera and husband Samuel, Kandi Sue Childers and husband John, brothers, Quinton Wilson, Earl E. Warner, sister, Jo Ann Tyler, fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home.
