Bernard Ofczarzak

April 22, 1943 — July 8, 2016

A Mass of Christian Burial For Bernard Ofczarzak, 73, of Ofczarzak Hill in the Birdsong Community will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. that morning followed by a Rosary at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Mr. Ofczarzak died at his home on July 8, 2016.

Bernard was born April 22, 1943 to Ben Ofczarzak and Marcella (Sobotik) Ofczarzak in Houston, Texas. Bernard attended St. Christopher's Catholic School, Mt. Carmel High School and the University of Houston. He worked at the Park Grocery from 1952-1961, American Can from 1961-1978 and Anheuser Busch from 1978-2005. Bernard and his high school sweetheart, Lexie Keirnan, were married on June 6, 1964 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. In 2005 Bernard and Lexie settled in Burleson County where he enjoyed playing dominoes, golfing, traveling and hosting many barbeques for his family and close friends.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Joseph and sister Delores.

He is survived by his wife Lexie (Keirman) Ofczarzak; sons and daughter-in-law, Bernie Ofczarzak, Ben & Ava Ofczarzak; daughters and sons-in-law, Annie & Dr. Tom O'Shea, Marcella & Richard Patillo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly & Josiah Barrow, Marcy & Richard White; grandchildren, Christian Wolz, Ben Wolz, Matthew Telg, Hannah Ofczarzak, Lexie Ofczarzak, Jamie Ofczarzak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Pallbearers will be Milton Sobotik, Terry Matelski, Bobby Houston, Larry Burrows, Robert Grugan and his most beloved nephews, Steven Madison, Chris White and Brent White.
