Anna Killough

Anna B. Killough, 97, of Somerville passed away on Wednesday, September 21.

Anna B. Killough, affectionately known as "B.B." was a beautiful mother, grandmother, friend and soul. She loved to spend her time doing God's work with a smile on her face and a kind word. She was truly an angel on earth. Anna spent twenty-five years of her life teaching Sunday school to elementary kids with a patience that showed no bounds. When she wasn't at church she loved to spend time with family and friends socializing, whether it be spending time at the Somerville Senior Center, playing dominos or helping with a church fundraiser. Anna worked for Exxon oil and gas for 26 years while living in Baytown, TX. She was very passionate about animals especially cats. Anna B. will truly leave a void in the lives she touched while on earth, but her love for Christ and people will live on.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Rufus Thomas and Fannie Brevard Goree Thomas, husband, David G. Killough, brother, William R. Thomas and wife Patricia Martin Thomas, sisters, Fraces Thomas Mueller and husband Harold A. Mueller and Jessie Thomas Shults and husband Thomas S. Shults.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, David Thomas Killough, Dr. John Edwin Killough and wife Dianne White Killough, grandchildren, Carl T. Killough, Alex Killough, Claire Killough, great-grandchildren, Liam Killough, Leo G. Killough, Jahaan Killough, Aman Killough, Persephone Smith, John Z. Smith and very dear friend P.K. Like.

Honorary Pallbearers are the men of Somerville Senior Center.

Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Somerville, SAAM House Ministries, Somerville Senior Center or the Charity of your choice.
