Angel Orozco

Angel Orozco, 77, of Somerville went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Visitation is set for Friday, February 23, 2018 at Strickland Funeral home in Somerville, Texas from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7. Service is set for Saturday, February 24, 3 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville with interment at The Mexican Cemetery.

Angel was a wonderful man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to hunt and fish with family. Some of his greatest time where outings that included camping and travels out of town. Some of his greatest pastimes where catching up with friends, even new ones he just met. Angel was a life time member of the NRA and also the Knights of Columbus. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo V. Orozco and Natavidad Maldonado Orozco, brothers, Cruz Orozco, George Orozco, Leon Orozco, Valentine Orozco, Manuel M. Orozco, Timotea Barrera; sister, Ernestina Reyes and husband Sam and brother-in-law Victor Fonseca.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Peggy Orozco, five children; Donna Smith and husband Robert, Jayne Clay, Rhonda Collins and Stoney McDonald, Wendell Gammons and wife Becky, Wesley Gammons; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Agripina O. Fonseca, Simona O. Esparza and husband Manuel, Matilda Orozco, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
