Alice Miguel

Alice S. Miguel 89 was born in New York, N.Y. on March 23, 1937. She graduated Salutatorian from Central High School and studied nursing at Vanderbilt University. She completed her residency program in Harlem N.Y., and then moved to Maui, HI. Alice met John Miguel at the Kula Clinic while she was nursing his third-degree burns. Alice and John were married on April 4, 1964, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church (married 62 years). Alice loved singing in the choir at St. Alphonsus Church and spending as much time as possible in her yard. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and servant to the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Muriel Stiles and her unborn child Donald. She is survived by her husband (John), her three children Michael, Sandy (Jeffrey), and Anthony (Lisa). Also, survived by her sister (Mary), three grandchildren (Tyra, Ashley, Daniel) and 4 great-grandchildren (Landon, Noah, Olivia, McKenna) and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held in the fall of 2026. A Mass in her name was held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Central, LA.
